The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to take place in Qatar between November 20th and December 18th and below you will find a list of all the confirmed national football squads that have been announced so far. Keep in mind that before teams can finalize their 23-26 player squad for the tournament, they are allowed to name a provisional squad of up to 55 players. With that being said, all countries must submit their final squad by November 13th, 2022 but if any player happens to get injured or test positive for COVID-19, they are allowed to be replaced up to 24 hours before the team’s first match.

Schedule
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will take place in November and December, instead of the usual June and July, to avoid the intense heat in Qatar. This will mean that the World Cup will be played in the middle of the season for many domestic football leagues, which could cause disruptions. However, the major European leagues have been obliged to make room in their schedules to accommodate the World Cup, and so extended breaks will be incorporated into their domestic schedules.
In contrast, domestic leagues which typically start their seasons in the northern spring and play through the summer, such as Major League Soccer, will be able to conclude their seasons before the start of the tournament.
The group phase will take place from 20 November to 2 December. The knockout phase will begin with the Round of 16 from 3-6 December.
The quarter-finals will be played on 9 and 10 December, with the semi-finals taking place on 13 and 14 December. The play-off for the third place will occur on 17 December, one day before the final.
