Every year, on the first Monday in September, we celebrate Labor Day in the United States. It’s a day to commemorate the achievements of American workers. This year it is being celebrated on 5th September.Labor Day is all about honoring the men and women who make up the backbone of this great nation. The holiday has its roots in the 1800s, when labor activists fought for a federal holiday to show appreciation for everything workers do to keep America strong and prosperous.
